*Support women deceived into long term intimate relationships with undercover police officers who were infiltrating environmental and social justice campaign groups. Police Spies out of Lives (PSOOL) has loads of info, as does the fantastic Campaign Opposing Police Surveillance (COPS). The Undercover Research Group (URG) has been instrumental in efforts to help activists out the “spycops” who’ve targeted them, and URG has great online resources. All are groups I work closely with, and are deserving of donations.

*If you live in the UK, you can easily dash off a quick letter via Write to Them to complain about undercover secret policing tactics, or whatever else burns your bottom today.

*Party like its 1983! Attend or throw a Crypto Party, and learn with friends how to keep your internet communications free from spies.

*Keep up to date on current debate in your country on spying. Statewatch (Europe) and the Electronic Frontier Foundation (USA) have info and Action pages and this great Surveillance Self-Defense page.

*Publish letters to the editor urging politicians to ban use of undercover police against environmental and social justice activists, and to begin controlling unregulated private security firms.

*Join or start online campaigns or petitions against police abuses.

*Plug into local pressure groups working for civil liberties, don’t expect others to solve this problem for you!
